Specialized Therapy for First Responders
If you're a police officer, paramedic, firefighter, dispatcher, or emergency communications professional, this practice was built with you in mind.
Dan Zamfir is a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified First Responder Counselor. He is a preferred provider for the Niagara Regional Police Service and works within Niagara EMS programming. His approach to first responder mental health is grounded in what he calls intensive psychotherapy, a format designed around your schedule and reality.
In practice, that means weekly check-ins between sessions, greater availability for last-minute appointments, and a therapist who understands the weight of showing up for others every shift. The philosophy is simple: you're always available for other people. Your care should work the same way.

Individual Therapy for Anxiety, Trauma, and Stress
Whether you're dealing with anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship challenges, or you've simply never tried therapy before — this is a good place to start.
Henley Psychotherapy offers individual counselling in St. Catharines for adults navigating high-stress careers and life transitions. The approach is relationship-first: you set the pace, and your therapist guides the work using evidence-based methods. Clients include professors, executives, professional athletes, and people who've never sat across from a therapist before.
If you've never done therapy before, that's not an obstacle. Many clients find the first session easier than they expected.
In-Person in St. Catharines. Virtual Across Ontario.

Virtual therapy is well-suited for shift workers, professionals with demanding schedules, and anyone outside the Niagara region.
